Mark Tokarski:
I am of simple mind, easily led astray and subject to occasional emotional fits of clarity. My profession is accounting, and even though I don’t like it, I’m good at it. So that’s what I have to do. This is what I want to do, but no one will pay me.
Life here in Bozeman, Montana, is not good. It’s Great. It adds to the appeal of early morning writing as deer wander across the back yard and birds dabble on the feeder. We have a view of the Hyalite Mountains out our back window, and an open meadow is just out of view. On the other side of the meadow, out of eye and earshot, is a mountain stream. Sandhill Cranes come around in the spring, and recently a couple of barn owls have wandered in.
Steve T.
You’ll find that I don’t use my whole name when I blog, despite the fact that everyone around here knows who I am. This is because my Uncle, a Catholic Priest at St. Pius in Billings, shares my name and doesn’t need it attached to some of the tripe that I write. So it’s best that when he’s Googled my posts don’t show up.
I don’t write here as much as my Dad, but when I do, it’s generally because something’s gotten under my skin or amused me. I guess that makes my blogging a little bit more emotional than it needs to, as I don’t write about things that I don’t care about. I consider myself a Democrat, moderate when compared to some of my former compatriots in Missoula, but decidedly leftist when it comes to my compatriots in the blogosphere. I probably get angrier at stupid behavior by Democrats more than I do by Republicans, because my heart of hearts wants to believe we’re better – - – but day after day there are those who strive to prove me wrong.
Unfortunately, by choosing the education profession I unknowingly exiled myself from Montana after graduating College. I’m in Portland for now, substitute teaching in many different school districts, teaching whatever subject I’m needed in for whatever grade level.

You can delete this comment, it’s just a quick note to you. I think you could really spice up your blog by putting up recent videos on your topics in the side bar. For example, there are some interesting global warming videos.
You can do this by going to the vod-pod widget. It will ask you to set up a vodpod.com account which is free that will help you find and organized your videos. Take a look at my blog and you can see I’ve got a place for my last five videos. It did this two days ago but it’s really cool looking I think.

Dear Mark and Steve,
I write to request that you consider adding The Policy Institute’s legislative blog (www.session61.com) and main website (www.thepolicyinstitute.us) to the blog roll of Piece of Mind. We will be adding Piece of Mind to our blog roll soon.
Please contact me with any questions you may have.
Thanks so much for your consideration,

We are having a couple events coming up soon in Billings and I was wondering if you would like us to help publicize (or hopefully attend). The information on the walk this Saturday is below:
Senators Baucus and Tester need to hear that Montanan’s support strong legislation which will save us all money AND create jobs by putting people to work retrofitting homes for energy efficiency. They need to hear from Montanan’s that we want clean energy jobs, and for our Senators stand up to the corporate polluters who seek to weaken the bill. They need to hear that we want carbon emissions cut back 20% — OR MORE — by 2020.
This Saturday Nov. 7, we will be dropping literature across Billings urging people to contact their Senators and show them that there is broad support for clean energy and green jobs. We need your help to distribute this call to action to as many people as possible.
When:
This Saturday Nov. 7
11AM-3PM
Where:
Meet at the Sierra Club Office at 11AM
2401 Montana Ave
Billings, MT 59101
On the second floor in Suite 4
Contact:
Mike Scott
Mike.Scott@sierraclub.org
Office number: 406.248.9230

We will provide a lunch afterwards to thank all of those who participate. Please RSVP and let us know if you will be able to provide transportation, or if you need a ride.
Thanks!
